Find x2 = 4 then x = y. Find y = 7 then x = z. This way you know that you can add up to the correct answer by using the techniques listed above.
Another technique is to use the integral part of the formulas to solve the equations. You may see formulas like this: R = s x cos(x) and R = s – s x cos(x). The first difference is that the first formula gives you the first two factors in terms of the second, the second formula gives you the factors in terms of the first.

However, most students do not know how to go from a to x and it is necessary to go from x to c by multiplying the former with the latter. The R means the first factor, the s means the second factor, and the s = r method means putting the first factor in front of the second factor. Some experts use the letter A for the first factor, C for the second factor, and B for the third factor.
It is important to remember the fact that the factor is the most important part of the equation. All students should try to get a good grasp of the factor, because this is a fundamental part of the problem solving strategy. Once you master the factor then the equation is solved easily.
