# Compound Inequalities Word Problems Worksheet with Answers

A compound inequality is a complex factoring word problem that can be solved using the student’s knowledge and the multiplication factor as a pointer to find the factors. The compound inequalities can be found in multiplication techniques, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, trigonometry, and statistics.

One way to know how to solve a common word problems is to master what factors are needed to find the answers. It is very easy to learn the various factors because they are discussed in all introductory college level textbooks. There are many basic factors that can be learned by thinking about some factors that have been used. I will list some of these factors below.

Just like anything else it takes a little bit of time to learn the techniques used but if you focus on these factors and practice them everyday then you will master these techniques. The main step is to use the equation and find the factors in the formula that correspond to each equation. For example, you may want to find the factors in the following equation for x2=5 and x=x3.

Find x2 = 4 then x = y. Find y = 7 then x = z. This way you know that you can add up to the correct answer by using the techniques listed above.

Another technique is to use the integral part of the formulas to solve the equations. You may see formulas like this: R = s x cos(x) and R = s – s x cos(x). The first difference is that the first formula gives you the first two factors in terms of the second, the second formula gives you the factors in terms of the first.

If you are familiar with linear equations then you may be able to learn the second factor on your own. Most students already know that x = a or that is, x is the square root of c. However, most students do not know how to go from a to x and it is necessary to go from x to c by multiplying the former with the latter. If you know the ratio, then you can add and multiply the former and the latter for a better solution.
