You first need to enter all of the values in the cells which are for particular data you want to focus on. A great example of this would be a list of items. All of the items would be listed in one cell and the quantity would be entered in another cell. Once all of the data has been entered into the respective cells then you can use the formulas in the corresponding columns.
In order to get the total value of the items which were entered into the worksheet, the formulas would need to be formatted so that they can be placed in the cell which totals the number of items. The formula would then need to be entered, using a right click on the formula bar and choosing Format.
To get started in formatting the formula simply need to click on the Formula button on the Formula Bar, after which you will need to type in the name of the formula as well as the type of formatting you would like to apply to the formula. If you would like to change the font size of the formula simply click on the formula and then go to Options.
The next thing you will need to do is select string from the language drop down menu. Then in the next column to select text. This is so you can format the formula so that it can be run on a single line.
When you are ready to run the worksheet then all you need to do is save the workbook. You will also need to add the worksheet to the list of workbooks under the File menu. Once you have done this you can easily open the file you just saved and then select the cell you would like to look at.
In order to save the workbook, you need to choose File->Save As. The next time you open the workbook you will be able to see all of the numbers that were entered into the worksheet.
