Traceable name worksheets are a very simple way to teach your child to learn their letters. You can set up the sheets in two different ways: first, the students will learn by themselves while the other sheet will be reserved for the teacher so that they can make corrections as necessary. The teacher will also have the ability to mark a child on the correct number of times they miss the letter.

The easiest way to show your child how to do this is to use a computer program that will enable them to do the work for you. On the computer, select the ‘Text To Speech’ option from the menu and follow the instructions. The computer will read the letters out loud.

If the sounds of the letters are not familiar to your child, you may have to write the letter in and find out which one they are. If you know them, then they should be able to get it quickly. However, if the sounds are hard to pronounce, then you can mark the letter in red and have the student repeat the word until it sounds right.

The next worksheets should be focused on creating numbers. Write down the numbers and practice spelling each one. You may even want to include words in this worksheet as well, such as three, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten.

Once you have these two forms down, you can start the process over again by tracing the letter. You can change the sound every time you replace the first letter with the second. For example, “the” should become “t”, and “a” should become “e”.

Although there are many teachers who do not use traceable name worksheets to teach students how to spell, it has been proven to be effective in helping children learn better. The best part about this system is that it only takes a few minutes per lesson and your child will end up looking forward to the next lesson.
