Scale Practice Worksheet

Having a Scale Practice Worksheet at home to review measurements is a great way to organize and understand the process of measurement. A good Scale Practice Worksheet will help you visualize what it would be like to set up and take down a scale, as well as helping you to get an accurate measurement without requiring the assistance of a professional. Many people find the process of setting up and taking down a scale is a hassle, and they can simplify things with a scale practice worksheet and the help of a friend or neighbor.

Set up your Scale Practice Worksheet by taking a piece of paper and measuring all the different parts of the scale. It is important to write down the measurement on the top sheet, which will represent a height of the scale. This helps you keep track of the height, which will be in a place that you can easily refer to in case you need to make the measurement again in the future. The next sheet should have a reference number to represent the height of the scale, as well as the weight or mass of the items that are being measured.

The reference line that is drawn on the bottom of the first sheet should be the highest weight or volume that the scale can handle. To remember the reference point, the reference line should be placed at the top of the chart. The Reference Line should be in inches or pounds, not in centimeters or kilograms.

After the reference point is established, write down the items on the left side of the chart. Using your scale is a little difficult, so the last item that is going to be measured should be checked for accuracy as soon as possible. This will allow you to get the results right the first time.

For the second measurement, the Scale Practice Worksheet should be placed under the first sheet. After determining the reference point for the second measurement, use the scale that has been referenced for the first measurement and double-check the measurementto make sure that it has been completed correctly. You should then find the reference number for the second item and write that number down. In the bottom left-hand corner of the page, a row of numbers should be written down, one digit for each of the items that are measured.

In the left-hand column, the last digit should be three digits and should be written down. The weight that was taken should be written above the reference number for the second item, so that it is clear to see who has made the first measurement and who has taken the second measurement.

There should be two columns, one with the numbers and one with the column that lists the reference line. The reference line is represented by a vertical line and can be determined by looking at the reference number. If the reference number is written as either “R”L”, then the line is read from the left side of the scale.

After completing the first and second sets of weights, a third set of weights can be added for each of the three readings. The final column that contains the number of items in the first set and the second set should be then marked with a vertical line to indicate the reading.
