In a business setting, accounts receivable accounts payable often appear in the balance sheet as a separate line item. You might be surprised how many businesses categorize these types of invoices as “other sales” which allows you to present the statement for other income. However, these types of invoice generally include many other categories such as returns, rebates, tax refunds, payments, etc. Therefore, if you want to determine the effects of transactions on the accounting equation you will want to look at how this affects the overall profit, and loss statement as well as the cash flow statement.
Now, to get started with Workshee you first need to download it and install it. This can be done by clicking the icon on the Workshee homepage and going to the downloads page. Once you have the downloads file, you can use that to get started.
Once you have downloaded the software to your computer, you should first try to download the “worksheet” needed to create the “Purchase Order” necessary to build your “cash flow statement”. To get the download button click on the worksheet “Downloads” tab and then choose “Worksheets”. It is usually in the middle of the worksheet where you will find the “Create Purchase Order” button.
Once you have selected the invoice you want to create then you will want to go to the “Sales Order” tab. Click on the “Payments” tab. Here you will find the “Sales and Payments” button. When you are there, you will also want to go to the “Sales Order Processing” tab and click on the “Purchases” button.
From here you will be able to select a worksheet for the purchase order. Once you have selected it you can click on the “Select” button. A new window will pop up. Once you have selected the option that you want click on the button for the creation of the “Purchases” worksheet.
Once you have selected the invoice type, price range, and number of hours of inventory or labor hours you will be prompted to enter the date and time the invoice was generated. In the field where you input this information, you will want to check the “Show decimal point” option.
Once you have entered all of the information you want then you can click the “Proceed” button and then click the “Process” button. You should see the invoice start to print once it is loaded from the worksheet that you created.
