In a famous newspaper interview with author Pauline Kael, F Scott Fitzgerald revealed one of the greatest worksheet answers of all time. As he was being interviewed by her for The New Yorker, he said, “What does it mean to be an American? My parents were from Ireland; my wife is German-Jewish; my three children are American citizens and they were born here. But I think of myself as an American and that’s all.”

The Great American Dreamer Worksheet answered the question of what does it mean to be an American by defining the historical roots of the United States and by giving some examples of the development of the country. Fitzgerald then asked, “What does it mean to be an American? It means love of country and love of your fellow man.” This is an excellent definition of the American dream and how we all can work towards achieving it.

The best way to be inspired to work towards fulfilling our American dream is to learn about our country and become more knowledgeable about it. I’ve done this by participating in hundreds of activities at community colleges that give me the opportunity to meet new people and learn about our country. This gives me a greater chance to meet people who share the same values as I do and make us all work together to achieve what we each want.

F Scott Fitzgerald didn’t always have the greatest vocabulary but he did use very good words. When he asked, “What does it mean to be an American?” He was really asking, “What does it mean to be a great American?” I think the quote, “A Great Man starts out by believing in himself” really applies to a great American starts out believing in himself.

“A Great American Starts with a Great Dream” and the American Dreamer Worksheet answers this question by providing examples of dreams that have come true for Americans. I personally enjoy reading about people who have been helped by a high school junior named Katie. Katie’s father lost his job two years ago and as a result, she found herself in a very challenging situation as she continued to pursue her high school diploma.

Katie’s father was always encouraging Katie and encouraged her to go back to school so she would be able to provide a better life for her family. She also wanted to help other families to have the opportunities they wanted to have in their own careers. Unfortunately, the economy has changed a lot over the past two years and she couldn’t go back to school any longer because of the difficulty she faced completing her financial obligations.

The Great American Dreamer Worksheet answers the question of what does it mean to be an American by giving Katie’s story and by providing examples of stories that people like her can work on. That’s a good place to start and if you’d like to learn more about Katie’s story, the American Dream, and how you can work toward a great life for yourself and your family, there’s plenty of information available on the Internet.
