On a normal day, you would do about twenty areas of three-second tension (a staple of classic conditioning), followed by ten seconds of rest. To increase your reps, you could go up to twenty reps of five seconds, followed by ten seconds of rest.
As you can see, Classical Conditioning is performed at a fairly high intensity, but it is crucial that you have a strong base of endurance for the high number of reps you’re going to be doing. You want to add a high volume of workouts per week, but it is imperative that you stay injury free and in good overall health.
Another thing to remember about Classical Conditioning is that you must use proper form when lifting the weights. The term “powerlifting” actually refers to lifting heavy weights with poor form. When you lift correctly, you will not only look better, and feel better, but you will also get a better workout.
