In many different classrooms, a new worksheet entitled “The Crusades Map Worksheet” has been introduced. While it may seem like a typical worksheet, the Crusades Map Worksheet can help improve critical thinking skills in your students. If you are interested in using this new worksheet to increase the student’s knowledge about the history of the Crusades, you should know what it contains.
The Crusades map has seven four-panel sections. Each panel contains three questions. As part of your lesson plan, you should use these questions throughout the year to help your students learn more about the Crusades. Here is an explanation of the questions that will appear on each section.
The first question on the Crusades map is labeled “What was the purpose of the Crusades?” This question asks students to look at the names of the regions that participated in the Crusades. These names will be used throughout the lesson to illustrate the real-life battles between the crusaders and their enemies.
The second question on the Crusades map is titled “Who were the leaders of the Crusades?” The other names for the leaders of the Crusades will be also used throughout the year to reinforce the Crusades theme. Students will learn that while the crusaders were primarily young men from Europe, there were many women and children who joined the Crusades. The female crusaders helped the crusaders to defend their lands against the enemy. The children, however, tried to help their parents during the battles.
The third question on the Crusades map is labeled “How did the Crusades start?” The leaders of the crusades were typically quite educated, so they made it quite easy for the younger crusaders to get involved. When a local church leader found out about the crusades, heencouraged the crusaders to join. There are even stories of crusaders who were able to go into battle without a weapon, which was unheard of.
The fourth question on the Crusades map is labeled “When did the Crusades end?” Because most of the crusaders died during the Crusades, the last crusade took place in 1307. Today, the crusader banners can still be seen in towns all over the world. It is a wonderful time to teach students about the crusade and the significance of the crusade.
The fifth question on the Crusades map is titled “Why did the crusades end?” This question asks students to explore why the crusades ended. The end of the crusades was caused by the assassination of one of the crusaders by the Muslims. This event, however, did not actually prevent the crusaders from going on another crusade.
The sixth question on the Crusades map is titled “What are the other lessons that I can use the crusades map answers for?” Students will learn that in addition to history lessons, the crusades are valuable lessons about perseverance and bravery. They will also learn that the crusaders could have easily won the war if they had better weapons and training. Some will even discover that they can learn valuable lessons about forgiveness.
